About Jayton
I am a senior biology major and will recieve my bachalor's degree in May of 2024. I like many students, struggled or was afraid to reach out for help. At the beginning of undergrad I was extremely intimidated by professors and the subjects I was learning. My goal is to help students to overcome the fear of asking for help during a time of struggle causing unwanted anxiety and worry by offering my skill set to others. I am willing to do all things possibleto help students succeed. I feel that I have a good graps on different learning techniques that can benefit different types of learners.

As a tutor I like to first meet and understand the needs of the students I am assisting. It is important to make sure i am well versed in the subject the student is desiring to learn. On top of that listening to the students concerns, and to collectivly come up with a method and study plan that will work best for the student is a key factor to begin to reach success. Every student has a different style of learning. I am able to adapt and overcome barrrier that may inhibit a students learning. I have the ability to tutor high school and college level courses. Courses may include Anatomy and physiology, General biology and physiology, Vertebrate biology and vertebrate anatomy, and even courses such as American Sign Language (only ASL I, and II). A typical lesson plan may include a content review from previous lessons or areas of concern, followed by and questions the student may have of current or future topics. Every lesson may be different based on a students needs.
