About the lesson

My teaching methods often vary from student to student and the subject, but I aim for complete comprehension and understanding of all necessary concepts, techniques, and material through thoughtful and patient tutoring sessions. Offering tutoring services virtually allows me to have a very flexible schedule and available hours, while still maintaining safe, high quality tutoring sessions.

As a current engineering student, I have found myself in many math and science classes and in even more tutoring sessions and labs. I know how difficult it can be to not understand the material you’re learning in your classes and how easy the snowball of falling behind behind. I want to offer my services to anyone who’s in need of extra lessons, a refresh on the concepts, homework help, or even someone who needs to start back from the basics and work their way back up to the more advanced materials. I know a single teacher or tutor can make all the difference in the world and I have no problem re-explaining a concept or lesson 20 times in 20 different ways until it clicks and the student feels comfortable with it.

There are no “stupid” questions, I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and voicing any confusion so they can have a true understanding of the material, I truly care about students learning and comprehension is always the most important thing to me!

We will typically discuss what you’re learning, your struggle and strength areas of the material, and make a plan to tackle the material together to ensure you’re the best learner you can be!

About Bianca

I’m a current senior in college pursuing a B.S. in civil and environmental engineering with a minor in environmental sciences. I’m based in San Antonio, TX, and through virtual/online webcam based tutoring I’m able to offer my services worldwide!

I have 1.5 years of one-on-one and small group tutoring specific experience in elementary maths, pre-algebra, and algebra, and 8 years experience as a teaching assistant and mentor in various science and nature based education programs, educating children and adults of all ages in small and large groups.

I currently have a part time job as a teaching assistant at a conservation center where I work in early childhood education and create and host other math, science, and nature oriented educational programs for children and adults of all ages, in groups ranging from one to twenty.
