About Sourik
I started learning Tabla since I was a child. It gave me several opportunities to perform in school, be at the stage, and get the exposure. Since I started early, it gave me a sense of expertise that was unique to me.
Most importantly, it was a wholistic experience and I am glad I grew up learning a unique skill.
Through my classes, I want to convey the same ahead to my students, mentoring them in their journey as a Musician.

My approach to conduct the class is to first create interest in the student so that he himself is keen to learn how to play Tabla.
I had been tutoring students back in Kolkata for over 7-8 years, wherein I realized that the key to learning any instrument is DISCIPLINE. Thus my approach involves giving tasks and homeworks that the student can go home and continue to practice for assured improvents if followed with diligence.
I take sessions in 2 of the below formats:
1. 1Hr Session at Centre - Available on Superprof. Here the student comes to the centre and spends 1 hour learning and listening Tabla along side a group of students.
2. 1Hr One to One session at Student's place. This is where we have a learning session in student's residence. This is a direct session where in student gets 1 hr of undivided attention.
