About Carlos
I am a Senior in High School and will be attending the University of Florida Fall 2024 majoring in Computer Science.
My goal is to make a positive difference in your academic endeavors and teach you information that will last you a lifetime and you will use in your math classes to come. I greatly encourage curiosity whilst challenging the student to do more whenever possible. I consider it vital for students to study the topics learned independently after tutoring. Like I tell all my students, Practice makes Perfect!

My approach to teaching others includes the usage of examples and converting complex information into simple to understand and relatable to other previously known topics.
My typical lesson plan includes teaching whatever lesson the student needs help on, usually takes around 20-30 minutes, followed by several examples to ensure the student knows how to apply the topic to any question they may face.
I have tutored two kids in Algebra 1 this past year and have seen their grades improve using this strategy, and the connection I am able to bring with the topic is what sets me apart from others.
I have excelled in Algebra 1 and 2 and got a 5 on my AP exam for AP Calculus AB which are the subjects I aim to teach as I am most qualified in them. During the week I work at an organization known as Fit Kids of America, this organization provides homework help and tutoring to kids K-8. I work in the first grade classroom doing just that.
