About Mackenzie

I have done a tutoring position before. I have tutored anywhere from 1st-9th grade in math. Additionally, I have been a student worker at Lakeland Community College Teaching Learning Center for over a year now. My job is to assist, plan, and provide educational lessons/curriculum to children starting at 18 months until they are ready to bring kindergarten. I am confident that I can create personalized plans, and set achievable goals for each and every student. I truly believe that every child learns differently. Although it may be similar, but not the same, and that’s why I devote myself to ensure that each of my students are comfortable, keeping the environment as low-stress as possible, while maintaining a steady learning pace.

About the lesson

I value my students, and take note of different personalitys and learning styles. Mental health is also a big thing for me, because I know first hand that school can be stressful, especially if you don’t understand the subject. I’m very passionate about what I do, and I look forward to building a personalized relationship with each of my students. I also respect pronouns, and is a proud ally!

Perfect! Mackenzie is very patient and understanding. She listens very well and is able to quickly point out strengths and weaknesses. She doesn't allow my daughter to give up, but Mackenzie also knows when she needs a break. She has an amazing attitude and has built my daughter's confidence in only two sessions. I can't explain it, but Mackenzie has a special quality about her. She is a great tutor, explains things well, and knows the proper way to help each person. The way she interacts and encourages my daughter is amazing to watch. There is definitely something special about Mackenzie and my daughter loves working with her!

My daughter was almost failing math… but when Mackenzie started tutoring her she was able to get her grade up to a B+ We are so impressed with Mackenzie. She is such a trustworthy, patient, and intelligent person and really helped put my daughter back on track in math. I would recommend her to any parent trying to find their kid a tutor.
