About Celeste

I'm currently a senior at Steele High School enrolled into Northeast Lakeview as well as UT Austin taking advanced courses. I will be attending Hawaii Pacific University in fall of 2025 so chances are if you're struggling with it I can help you. I'm able to relate to you as I'm not much older and can help you exceed in your school work.

About the lesson

As a tutor for students struggling with math and science, my approach would focus on creating a supportive and structured learning environment. I would begin by assessing each student's understanding of the subject to identify specific areas of difficulty. Then, I would break down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable parts and use relatable examples to make the material more engaging. For a typical lesson plan, I would start with a brief review of previously learned material to ensure foundational knowledge is solid. Then, I would introduce a new topic, such as algebraic equations or Newton's laws, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and interactive discussions to reinforce key ideas. After explaining the concept, I would work through practice problems together, encouraging the student to think critically and ask questions. At the end of each session, I would assign a few problems for independent practice to reinforce what was learned, and provide feedback during our next meeting. My goal would be to build confidence, encourage curiosity, and instill problem-solving skills that students can apply beyond our sessions.
