About Divya Darshni
Hi, my name is Divya Darshni Gopu, and I am a senior at Independence High School in Frisco, Texas. I am interested in pursuing a career in medicine and hope to become an ophthalmologist in the future.
I am a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where I learned how to assist residents with daily activities while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and respected. I have also interned at Mirra Periodontal & Implant Center, where I helped organize patient records, prepare rooms for procedures, and assist with front desk communication.
Outside of medicine, Bharatanatyam is a very important part of my life. I perform at nursing homes to bring joy to residents through dance. I am also working toward completing my Arangetram, a major milestone in Bharatanatyam training.
Through both medicine and dance, I enjoy helping others, working with people, and making a positive impact in my community.

Typical Class Structure
Warm-Up (5–7 min)
Stretching, eye/neck exercises, and footwork drills.
Technique (20 min)
Learn and practice Adavus with rhythm counting.
Expression Practice (10–15 min)
Practice Abhinaya through small stories (Krishna, nature, emotions).
Dance Combination (10 min)
Combine steps and expressions with music.
Homework Videos
Students send short practice videos each week:
Adavu Practice: 30 sec–1 min
Expression Video: show one emotion or a short story
