I typically start with teach-back, where you tell me all you know about the topic. Then we'll gauge where the strengths lie, and where the weaknesses hide, we'll correct any incorrect knowledge in the most palatable way possible.
A lot of confusion in nursing comes from still fuzzy ideas from A&P, and reviewing bodily systems and functions can really help clarify disease processes (How can you know what's wrong if you don't know how it works?), medication mechanisms, and how comorbid conditions worsen each other.
