About Andrew

I am a Senior Mathematics major at the University of Pennsylvania, with a strong concentration in calculus and algebra. My academic training emphasizes both conceptual understanding and mathematical rigor, particularly in proof-based and problem-solving–oriented coursework. I have teaching experience at Germantown Friends School, where I worked closely with students to build strong mathematical foundations, confidence, and independent problem-solving skills. In addition, I currently serve as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where I support undergraduate students in calculus courses through leading problem sessions, explaining complex concepts, and providing individualized academic guidance. Across all teaching settings, I focus on making challenging material approachable without sacrificing depth. I believe that students learn mathematics best when they understand the why behind methods, and I strive to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are treated as part of the learning process. My goal as an educator and tutor is to help students develop clarity, confidence, and long-term mastery in mathematics—skills that extend well beyond a single course or exam.

About the lesson
