About Domenico
I have been an academic for all my career with a broad scientific experience, about 16 years since my MSc in Chemistry. I came in UK in 2003 for a PhD in Biochemistry at King's College London and since then I have worked at top UK and European Universities and Research Institute gaining all the experience and knowledge to teach Science at various levels.
I have been lecturing protein biophysics techniques at University of Naples and Turin in Italy with classes of about 100 1st year students. I have also been actively involved in the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
I emphasise on applied learning, knowing a broad spectrum of techniques, I link theoretical analysis with in-depth laboratory work.
I have been tutor of numeracy at King's College London for first year medical students. I had 10 students for 10 lessons of basic chemistry numeracy: at the end of the course all 10 student passed the exam 9 with 100% and 1 with 85%.
My suitability as a tutor is particularly aided by my outgoing personality, good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
