About Rajeev

Hello, my name is Rajeev and I am a professional scientist with over 9 years of experience working in biotechnology and pharmaceutical research. I hold an MSc in Clinical Drug Development from University College London (UCL) and a BSc in Biochemistry from Queen Mary University of London. Throughout my career, I have worked in leading research environments where I apply Biology, Chemistry, Maths, data analysis, and problem-solving every day.

I am passionate about teaching because I know that many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because subjects are often explained in ways that are confusing or rushed. My goal is to make learning clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I enjoy helping students move from feeling stuck or lacking confidence to understanding topics properly and achieving strong results.

I am a patient, friendly, and professional tutor who believes every student can improve with the right guidance and support. Whether you need help preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, university coursework, or simply building confidence in Maths or Science, I provide structured lessons designed around your goals.

As someone who has studied at top London universities and built a successful scientific career, I also help students understand how academic success can open doors to exciting future opportunities. My aim is not only to help you improve your grades, but to help you become an independent and confident learner.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is personalised, structured, and focused on building confidence as well as strong subject understanding. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, pace, and goals.

For Maths and Science, I start by identifying areas the student finds difficult, then break complex topics into simple step-by-step explanations. I use clear examples, exam-style questions, diagrams, and active recall techniques to help students fully understand the material rather than memorise it. I also teach problem-solving strategies and how to approach questions efficiently in exams.

I am a professional scientist with over 9 years of experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical research, working in leading companies including Takeda Pharmaceuticals and other innovative biotech organisations. I hold an MSc in Clinical Drug Development from University College London (UCL) and a BSc in Biochemistry from Queen Mary University of London. My career has involved applying Biology, Chemistry, data analysis, and critical thinking at a high level, which I bring directly into my tutoring.

I have previously done private tutoring for GCSE and A level students for more than 3 years.
