Hi, I’m Frances. I’ve been working full-time as a software engineer since 2017 and am currently a Senior Software Engineer at Slack, where I lead large-scale frontend initiatives and interview engineers across multiple levels. I bring real-world hiring insight, technical depth, and years of experience building production systems used by millions.
I’ve delivered over 250 hours of 1:1 mentoring and previously led Techqueria, the largest nonprofit for Latinos in tech with more than 25,000 members. I take professionalism seriously. I show up prepared, give honest and actionable feedback, and tailor every session to your goals. My priority is helping you grow with clarity, confidence, and practical skills you can immediately apply.

I’m Frances, a Senior Software Engineer at Slack, and my approach is practical, structured, and tailored to your goals. I don’t believe in generic lectures. We will work on real problems together. I ask questions, identify gaps, and help you think like a strong engineer, not just memorize patterns.
A typical session starts with understanding your objective (interview prep, frontend fundamentals, system design, or career growth). We break the topic into frameworks, walk through examples, and practice live. I give direct, actionable feedback and clear next steps so you leave with momentum.
My lessons are best for computer science students, bootcamp grads, and engineers from intern through senior level who want to strengthen frontend architecture, improve technical interviews, or level up their impact at work.
