About Leah
I am a senior studying Environmental Science: Applied Ecology at Oregon State University. I've taken math and science courses far beyond those in which I offer tutoring, but I only offer my very best subjects!
I used to work in museums and have avid experience explaining complicated scientific concepts in a simple and direct manner to all types of audiences.
I enjoy learning and teaching and have been known to invent learning games from scratch when needed! My goal is to instill a love of learning at a younger age and to help navigate learning frustrations that may already have arisen.
My specialty is in K - 8 math and science tutoring, including pre-algebra and algebra I. I am also able to tutor other K - 8 material.

My lessons include video, audio, and email options. Sometimes I use art and custom learning games to help illustrate mathematical and scientific concepts. Learning should be fun, and I always aim to have my pupils increase their enjoyment of the material which, in turn, increases drive and retention of the subject matter! Another technique I use is to focus on real-world applications of the material so students are never left with that nagging question, "But when will I ever use this?"
