About Samantha

I am a Television Radio and Film major with a minor in Marketing at Syracuse University. I lead multiple organizations on campus, including the professional cinematic society and a student-run television show. I have taken a wide array of classes outside of film for my Bachelor of Science, from statistics to astronomy to psychology.

In high school, I tutored several students in algebra and geometry. Additionally, as a senior I took AP Calculus and received a 4 on the AP exam. In my freshman year of college, I tutored a student in college-level statistics.

My hobbies include reading, filmmaking, playing the flute, and baking!

About the lesson

All lessons will be online. I specialize in math, but I can also help students with science, such as Biology/Living Environment. I can help with homework or studying for an exam, and can assign practice problems if need may be. My schedule is very flexible and I can meet any day of the week (times may vary). I will do my best to create a positive, welcoming environment when tutoring!

I am also very patient and understanding with students of all learning styles. When I was in high school, I struggled a lot in my history classes and couldn't keep up with my classmates. When I was in 11th grade, my history teacher went out of his way to help me understand the required class readings and essays that I had trouble with. He helped bring my grade from a B- to an A- in the span of one school year. He was patient, understanding, and respectful of the way I learned the course material. As a tutor, I am here to help YOU. I will listen to you and help you in whatever subject you are struggling with. I am also a current senior in college, so I understand what you're going through.
