My teaching method assumes that every child/person is musical, and has the capability to learn music! I believe that music is personal, and that with practice, a person can develop a deep understanding for music and music theory. With proper technique and use, these skills can be amplified.
I am a vocal music education major at Michigan State University. I have experience in music theory, piano, and am familiar with most instruments. I have led Early Childhood music classes at the Community Music School, and have given voice lessons.
Right now I am only doing zoom lessons, due to the Covid-19 pandemic!
I will be graduating in the Spring with a degree in K-12 music education, encompassing band, orchestra, and choir.
I have specifically spent time in an Early Childhood setting, making music with young children.
I have been in 6 different opera productions at Michigan State.
I have taught community classes at both MSU and the Lansing Public Library for children with special needs and low-income households.
