About HYUNSOO
Hello! My name is Hyunsoo Kim. I hold a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Seoul National University and a TESOL certificate from Georgetown University. I worked as a producer at KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) for over 20 years, specializing in communication and international projects. I enjoy helping students learn Korean through practical conversation while exploring Korean culture, media, and society in an engaging and supportive environment.

I offer personalized Korean language instruction for students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Lessons combine systematic grammar training with interactive conversation practice, enabling students to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a balanced and effective way.
In addition to language instruction, I incorporate Korean culture through a variety of media, including films, television programs, news broadcasts, documentaries, literature, and contemporary cultural topics. Students may watch selected Korean films or media clips and engage in guided discussions, interpretation, and analysis to deepen both language proficiency and cultural understanding. These activities help learners develop critical thinking skills while gaining insight into Korean society, history, values, and communication styles.
