About Lucas

I am a journalism student in 1st Master and I have always been passionate about languages and different cultures. In a way, we can say that the world fascinates me! So naturally, English has become like my "second" language. In addition to learning it at school, I immersed myself in the language through series, books, films ... and a lot of personal work. in 2015, I had the opportunity to spend five months in Malta in linguistic immersion, I had courses that allowed me to reach a high level in grammar and a very good fluidity. In addition, I continue to have high level English courses at IHECS. In 2017, I started giving English home support classes, which was a very positive experience, and strengthened and built my skills in language teaching. So I think I am a qualified, competent and patient person to help you in English!

About the lesson

As a first step, I discuss with the "student" the difficulties encountered and the objectives that he / she must or wish to achieve. We then look at the presented course to understand what was the subject matter, the skills worked etc ... I usually ask the student to bring the content and the support, but I also bring my own support if needed . I try to work the difficulties by a theoretical part and explanation, which I want as complete as possible, then completed by playful exercises: reading comprehension, written exercise, improvisation exercise, oral conversation ... I try to work inductively, using active pedagogy. I remain obviously patient, pedagogical and empathic about the problems encountered. I taught mainly high school students, but I have been teaching adults, successfully :)
