About Michelle
I have been tutoring Spanish since I myself was in high school, and enjoy sharing my passion for language and culture with my students. I customize lessons to meet YOUR needs and adapt my approach to help you reach your goals. I will maximize your time in each session and give you "homework" and immersion activities to complete in between sessions. I encourage my students to overcome their fear of using their new language, and my number one piece of advice is to "Just open your mouth and speak!"

¡Hola amigos! I'm so excited to help you along your Spanish journey. Please take a look at my bio below and visit my business Cultura Connections for more information. Michelle Sabala Hagerott provides cross-cultural and linguistic services to organizations and individuals throughout the United States. She has served extensively as a Spanish-English interpreter in medical, mental health, and immigration settings and instructed Spanish and bilingual ESOL and U.S. Citizenship classes. Her written translation work spans coast to coast, and her podcast "Business Spanish" reaches listeners in 77 countries around the world. Michelle holds an MBA and degrees in International Business, Spanish, Russian, and Economics. She lives in Wichita, Kansas with her husband, six boys, and little girl.

I have been teaching myself Spanish for the last 3 years. I was feeling I was stuck and not advancing. Michelle came along side me and unstuck me! She explains grammar well and follows up lessons with other resources where there have been questions. I would highly recommend her for your Spanish journey.
