About Otis
I started 3 years ago by breaking down complex tracks into simple guitar parts. 136 students have successfully turned their song requests into playable arrangements.
My experience spans lead guitar, acoustic technique, and essential music theory. I understand how barre chords and blues progressions intimidate newer players. The smell of fresh guitar strings signals the start of our time together. I use my background as a self-taught producer to strip down songs into manageable arrangements for you. We focus on the core acoustic technique needed to make your playing sound full. Whether we are tackling electric technique or blues progressions, I prioritize what makes the instrument fun to hold.
My 3 years of teaching help me explain music theory in ways that actually make sense. You will find that lead guitar passages become approachable once we simplify the fingering. We spend our time refining your rhythm rather than just memorizing notes.
