About Silas
Fingerpicking, barre chords, and complex improvisation are the tools I use to break down songs for my students. I admit that I spent years struggling with the same chord transitions that frustrate most beginners.
Holding a BS Music Industry degree from USC Thornton School of Music gives me the theoretical framework to explain these hurdles clearly. I enjoy helping adult learners turn their favorite song requests into simplified arrangements that actually sound good.
Reading tabs and sheet music becomes much easier when you understand the mechanics behind the melody. I also teach lead guitar, scales, and modes to help you solo with more purpose.
Maintenance and tuning are also part of our routine to keep your instrument in prime condition. Acoustic technique remains my main focus for building a strong foundation. I am here to help you play with more ease and enjoyment. Let's start building your fretboard skills today.
