About Cass
I’m a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. I love combining traditional vocal techniques with modern technology like DAWs, vocal processors, and studio microphones to help my students prepare for studio recording and songwriting. Whether you’re a hobbyist or an aspiring recording artist, I tailor lessons to meet your goals. My focus is on genres such as R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian music. I guide students through lyric interpretation, helping them connect emotionally with each song. Tone shaping, harmonies, and phrasing are key parts of my teaching, allowing you to develop a unique and polished sound. I believe singing is a powerful form of storytelling, and I encourage creativity both in the studio and on stage. Using technology, we explore ways to enhance your voice and bring your musical ideas to life. My lessons are designed to be fun, supportive, and inspiring. My singing lessons focus on building strong music literacy and sight-singing skills, essential for both The Orchestra Member and The Crossover Artist. We begin with notation reading to familiarize you with musical symbols and rhythms. This foundation helps you understand and perform music accurately. Interval training follows, sharpening your ability to recognize pitch differences and improving your intonation. Rhythm exercises are a key part of each session, helping you internalize timing and groove. Harmony building comes next, training your ear to hear and sing different parts confidently, whether in a choir or solo setting. For The Orchestra Member, this approach strengthens your ability to blend and follow complex arrangements. The Crossover Artist benefits by gaining versatility across genres and styles. Steady practice connects your ear, mind, and voice, making singing more intuitive and expressive. To support this, I use sight-singing apps, rhythm trainers, and notation tools, making learning interactive and fun. These resources allow you to practice independently and track progress. I encourage patience and consistency, as growth happens step by step. With dedication, both personas develop clearer sight-reading, better pitch accuracy, and stronger musical confidence. Together, we build skills that enhance your performance and musical understanding.
