About Asher
My name is Asher Witkin, I’m a Senior at Columbia College Chicago studying Contemporary Music, and I’ve been teaching guitar and keyboard since my Sophomore year of high school at Oakland School for the Arts. I have experience with zoom and skype lessons, and have taught students from age 5 through adults.
Some of my previous musical experience includes performing with Coldplay, Daveed Diggs, The Head and the Heart, and The Stone Foxes, as well as providing backup vocals for Kehlani.

I’ve found lessons are most engaging and successful when we jump right in and start building the skills needed to play songs. My primary genres are rock, pop, and folk, though traditional music theory is woven in to help students understand what they’re learning.
