About Rosa

I was taught to play guitar by my older sister at the age of 13, and that same year I started writing songs as a form of self-soothing. I have toured throughout the US, Canada, and Europe playing my own original music and singing, playing guitar, and providing music workshops with Northern Harmony, a Vermont-based World Music Group. I am a non-judgmental teacher and musician who believes that music and singing belongs to everyone and is innate within us. It makes me sad how many people I've met who believe that music is only for the 'talented' and that they would love to sing or play an instrument, but they're just not musical. Music is a form of communication, and a skill that improves with practice. If you're willing to be vulnerable, and play or sing through whatever scares you, you'll be able to make some really beautiful music.

About the lesson

Student centered and focused, my lessons are about finding out what you as a student need and together charting you a pathway to getting there. I play folk music along with pop and classical and a bit of flamenco, and I love teaching people the basics of singing.
