About Allison

I am a singing tutor with over 7 years of experience. I teach school students, college attendees, and working adults. I have taught around 300 students. Many have achieved top results in exams, won competitions, and performed confidently. Some have started music careers. My teaching is based on kindness, motivation, tailored instruction, and analytical reasoning. I believe every voice has unique potential. I customize lessons to each student's goals and learning style. I focus on breathing, pitch, tone, and vocal health. I also include ear training, theory, performance, and interpretation. I support students with patience and practical strategies. I celebrate every achievement. I am proud of my students' growth and confidence. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for singing.

About the lesson

My teaching style for singing is based on four core concepts: kindness, motivation, tailored instruction, and analytical reasoning. I view singing as an intimate art form that allows people to share emotions and stories. My objective is to help students find their natural voice while building a strong technical base in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Kindness is central to my work. I know singing can make students feel exposed. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where they can explore, make mistakes, and improve. I remain gentle and appreciative of their bravery. Motivation keeps students excited about their musical journey. I select songs they love and set realistic short-term goals. I celebrate every success, from hitting a difficult note to delivering a complete performance. I help students see their own progress to maintain their enthusiasm. Tailored instruction ensures each student receives effective teaching. Some learn by listening, others by reading, and some by understanding theory first. I adapt my methods to fit each student's learning preferences, making lessons more productive and enjoyable. Analytical reasoning equips students to solve problems independently. When challenges arise with pitch, breath, or nerves, I guide them to analyze the problem and find solutions. We experiment with different approaches and determine what works. This builds independence and confidence. My curriculum includes a wide range of singing subjects. Vocal technique forms the base, covering breathing, posture, tone, vowel sounds, and vocal health. I use safe exercises to build power and flexibility. Ear training improves pitch and listening through interval work. Music theory covers rhythm and key signatures. Performance training addresses stage presence and audience connection. Song interpretation helps students convey emotion. Each lesson follows a clear structure with warm-ups, exercises, repertoire, and review. I use recordings for self-assessment and adjust goals regularly. My aim is to develop expressive, skilled, and confident singers.
