About Lynnéa
My mom is fond of saying that I “came out of the womb singing”…while I can’t confirm whether or not that’s accurate, I have always had an incredible love for singing and performing. I fell in love with choir and musical theatre repertoire as a teen, and I was inspired to study voice at University.
I have a degree in classical voice and a diploma in musical theatre; I am dedicated to being a lifelong learner and to continuously attend vocal, acting, and pedagogy classes and conferences to find the best resources for my singers.
Now, as a teacher of singing my mission is to help others learn how to play with their own natural voices without tension or self-judgement. Above all, my goal at The Voice Studio is to foster the love of singing in all of my students; I can’t wait to make music with you!

My Teaching Philosophy is based around you learning to unlock all of the possibilities of what your voice can do so that you feel the most comfortable in using your true, natural voice.
I offer short-term and long-term lessons; whether you are working towards a specific goal, preparing for an audition, or are looking to improve your technical knowledge over the long-term, I am ready to work with you! I work with beginning to intermediate singers of all ages, and lesson durations range from 30-60 minutes.
Some things we work on during a typical lesson include breathing techniques, mind/body awareness and tension release, characterization in songs, and above all the love of singing!
Styles I focus on include musical theatre, pop, folk, and classical but every genre can benefit from lessons. Learn more at the-voice-studio.ca!
