About Kate
I have a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and an undergraduate degree in Music from the University of Chichester. I have taught children aged 6-18 since 2011 in both individual and group lessons. I have coached students for exams, auditions and performances and I have worked in schools, stage schools and privately. I have also performed in a variety of operas including the role of Lauretta in "Gianni Schicchi" by Puccini and the role of Antonia in "The Tales of Hoffmann". I have also performed at a number of prestigious venues with the Philharmonia Chorus, including the Royal Albert Hall and The Festival Hall.

I believe that singing should be fun, and build confidence. Whether it is preparing for a performance in a concert, an audition or a singing exam, I am happy to help. I teach both singing technique and performance skills, helping my students to tell a story through singing. I teach a variety of styles, including Classical and Musical Theatre. I believe that part of musical education is to learn to read music and incorporate music theory into the lessons. If students decide they want to take exams, I teach both the ABRSM Singing and ABRSM Singing For Musical Theatre Syllabuses, which include sight singing and aural skills.
