About Philip

I am a singing teacher and vocal coach for classical and modern singing, with a wide experience of singing and teaching singing in the operatic, pop and musical world. I worked as a singer and coach for the biggest theaters in Europe, and also for music and film production companies. I can help you improve your vocal technique in a wide variety of singing styles, learning repertoire in English, French, German, Italian or Russian, and help prepare your auditions, recordings or concerts. I accompany you on the piano for the repertoire of opera, oratorio, song, jazz, pop, rock or musical. I teach mainly to professionals, but also to motivated amateurs. I am a professor of classical singing and music theatre at the Conservatoire Internationale de Musique de Paris and at the bilingual Concordia school, Paris, and for twenty years I have been teaching singing in France with the "coachvocal" association. My background: Cambridge University, Royal College of Music, London, Practitioner Art de l'Ecoute, Estill Voice Training.

Perfect! Philip has far exceeded my expectations as a voice coach on all levels. He immediately made me feel very comfortable and confident as a student. The rigor with which he took me through the various exercises with excellent, without being overbearing or judgmental. As we went through the class I was continually impressed with his deep knowledge and understand of the human voice, and how it interacts with our given language. I had been apprehensive about voice lessons in the past, but Philip changed that. I now look forward to learning more and being more confident in my public speaking even as I continue to improve. I cannot praise this professor highly enough. I would recommend him to any professional business person, artist, actor, or anyone else as a marvelous voice coach: compassionate, understanding, knowledgeable, and rigorous without being overbearing. I will be returning to him for future voice lessons.
