About Jocelyn
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts before completing a Master of Music in Contemporary Vocal Performance. During the past 8 years, I have worked with singers from a variety of musical backgrounds and experience levels. My love for singing began through performance and grew through years of dedicated study. Teaching allows me to share that passion while helping others discover their own strengths. Watching students gain confidence remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my profession.
My teaching philosophy combines technical development with personal expression. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and encouraged to take creative risks. Lessons are designed to be welcoming, structured, and motivating. I focus on helping learners understand their voices rather than simply follow instructions. This approach encourages long-term growth and greater independence.
Outside teaching, I enjoy songwriting, attending live performances, and exploring different vocal styles. These experiences keep my teaching fresh and connected to modern musical practice. Seeing students achieve goals they once considered difficult is deeply rewarding. I strive to create a positive environment where every learner feels capable of success. My goal is to help students sing with freedom, confidence, and authenticity.

My singing lessons are designed to help students build a strong connection with their voice while developing practical vocal skills. I focus on breath support, vocal control, pitch accuracy, resonance, articulation, and healthy singing habits through structured yet enjoyable exercises. Every lesson encourages students to explore their voice with confidence and curiosity. Alongside technical training, I incorporate song interpretation, emotional communication, and performance awareness so learners can express themselves more naturally. This balanced approach helps students develop both skill and artistry.
Lessons are personalized according to each learner’s goals and experience. Students preparing for auditions work on performance confidence, song presentation, and handling pressure effectively. Learners who simply want to enjoy singing receive guidance that builds comfort and enjoyment while steadily improving technique. Activities may include vocal warm-ups, phrasing exercises, lyric analysis, confidence-building drills, and creative interpretation tasks. Constructive feedback helps students recognize progress and continue developing at a comfortable pace.
My goal is to help students feel proud of their voice and confident in their abilities. As vocal skills improve, learners often discover greater self-expression and personal confidence. Lessons encourage consistency, creativity, and self-awareness. Every achievement is an important milestone. I want students to experience singing as a rewarding and empowering part of their lives.
