About Zia
My passion for singing began through choir performances, musical theater participation, and exploration of different vocal traditions during my early years. This interest inspired me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, a Master’s Degree in Vocal Arts, and later a PhD in Vocal Performance and Music Expression. Over the past 10 years, I have helped students from different backgrounds strengthen vocal ability and confidence through supportive and expressive music education.
I believe singing education should feel uplifting, creative, and emotionally supportive for every learner regardless of previous experience. My teaching style focuses on healthy vocal development, patient guidance, and expressive performance that allow students to improve naturally while enjoying the learning process. I encourage learners to ask questions openly and explore musical creativity because confidence develops best through encouragement and active participation.
Outside teaching, I enjoy songwriting, vocal arranging, and exploring acoustic, jazz, and contemporary music styles. Staying actively connected to music helps me bring fresh inspiration and expressive energy into lessons regularly. Teaching singing is deeply rewarding because I enjoy helping students discover individuality and confidence through their voice. My goal is always to support learners in becoming expressive, skilled, and emotionally connected performers.

My singing lessons focus on helping students strengthen vocal technique while building confidence and emotional connection through music and performance. I teach breathing support, pitch control, resonance, vocal placement, articulation, and expressive phrasing in a supportive environment where learners can improve steadily at their own pace. Students learn how healthy vocal habits support expressive singing and long-term vocal confidence naturally through guided practice. Every lesson encourages patience, creativity, and artistic growth.
Lessons are carefully personalized according to the learner’s experience level and musical interests. Beginners focus on vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises, simple melodies, and confidence building, while advanced learners work on harmony, stylistic interpretation, emotional storytelling, and performance preparation. I include listening activities, guided repetition, and expressive exercises regularly because consistent practice strengthens both technical skill and artistic confidence effectively. Students receive constructive feedback that supports comfortable and steady improvement.
I aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where students feel safe expressing themselves through singing without fear of mistakes or judgment. Many learners begin with nervousness or self-doubt, so I focus on gradual progress through encouragement and achievable goals. Over time, students improve vocal control, emotional expression, and stage confidence naturally. Singing becomes far more rewarding when learners discover creativity, freedom, and connection within their own unique voice.
