About Hollie

Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from the University of Michigan gave me the training, but my professional path taught me how to actually teach. I work with people starting from zero and people stuck halfway, often telling you when something is not working rather than quietly persevering.

Helping singers transition from opera to musical theater is my specialty, ensuring your instrument stays healthy throughout the change. Having taught 100s of students, I focus on sight singing, exam preparation, and stage fear management while honing your breathing and pitch control. Trust in clear communication and focused instruction to drive your progress.

You reach a place where your breath and pitch feel effortless during every performance. Focusing on your unique instrument, I utilize the 6.0 framework to ensure your musical theater transition is seamless and technically sound.

Homework vocal drills are assigned after every session to maintain your progress throughout the week. My background in musical theater allows me to bridge the gap between classical technique and stage performance demands. These sessions prioritize clarity over comfort, meaning I will always provide direct feedback on your sound.

You will find that my energetic style keeps the energy high while we dissect complex scores. I came to singing the long way round, and I am here to ensure you do not have to. I truly enjoy watching your growth.
