About Marshall

With over 9 years of experience as a singing tutor and an Associate of Music in Contemporary Vocal Techniques, I specialise in working with young children and early teens. I create a playful and creative space where young singers can build confidence and enjoy discovering their voices. My lessons are full of movement, games, and storytelling that make learning feel like fun, not work. I focus on the building blocks of pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics using music kids already love—folk songs, Disney classics, and musical theatre favourites. These songs provide the perfect mix of fun and challenge while teaching essential skills. I also help students prepare for school plays and talent shows by working on stage presence, expression, and comfort in front of an audience. Each session is designed to boost listening skills, coordination, and musical awareness in a relaxed and joyful way. I introduce age-appropriate vocal techniques that support healthy, confident singing. My goal is to help young singers feel proud of their sound and excited to share it. Whether it’s their first solo or a group performance, I’m here to support every step. Singing should feel fun, safe, and full of discovery—especially for young voices ready to shine on stage.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping singers connect deeply with the music they perform. I believe that great singing is more than just hitting the right notes—it’s about telling a story and making others feel something. In each lesson, we work on vocal technique, but also go beyond it. We explore lyric interpretation, emotional connection, and how to express meaning with honesty and intention. You’ll learn how to use your voice not just as an instrument, but as a tool for communication. I guide students through exercises in storytelling, phrasing, and dynamics to shape each performance. We study how to match vocal tone with emotion, and how to embody the mood of a song. For those with strong musical training or a love of performance, I offer focused support to refine expression and stage presence. I’ve helped singers develop their tone, deepen their artistry, and move audiences with powerful, authentic delivery. We also use feedback recordings and mindful reflection to track progress and grow confidence. My goal is for you to not just sing a song—but to live it, and let others feel it too.
