About Soren
I’m a singing tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Vocal Performance. I provide personalised lessons for students of all levels—from school and college learners to adults and professionals—especially those passionate about musical theatre and Broadway. My teaching focuses on developing character acting through song, stage presence, belt technique, and vocal agility for quick changes between styles. I also emphasise ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to build a strong musical foundation. I believe every voice is unique and deserves nurturing with safe, healthy vocal techniques. My lessons are interactive and supportive, designed to boost your vocal confidence and help you perform at your best. My teaching approach focuses on helping singers build confidence and skill for auditions and performances. I offer comprehensive training that covers breath control, pitch, and tone, but also important areas like performance anxiety management and stage presence. I guide students in selecting the right repertoire that suits their voice and the audition’s requirements. Together, we work on interpreting songs so you can connect with your audience and judges. My lessons are practical and supportive, designed to prepare you fully for the pressures of performing. I work well with Adult Beginners who want to find their voice and Advanced Teens aiming to polish their skills. I push my students gently but firmly to perform confidently, even under pressure. We practise real audition scenarios and build techniques to stay calm on stage. My goal is to help you express yourself clearly and impress with every performance. With focused practice and guidance, we’ll get you ready to shine and make your best impression. Let’s take this journey together and reach your singing goals!
