About Ursula
I’m a singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My work centers on the beauty and depth of cultural music traditions from around the world. I’ve had the joy of teaching styles such as Flamenco, Hindustani Classical, Celtic Folk, and African Spirituals, each offering its own rich story and sound. My teaching includes vocal ornamentation, microtonal expression, and traditional scales that bring these styles to life. I use oral transmission techniques to help students learn by listening, feeling, and repeating—just as these traditions have been passed down for generations. Lessons are hands-on, intuitive, and deeply rooted in the emotional heart of each song. I support students who want to reconnect with their heritage, learn new global styles, or deepen their understanding of music as a cultural art. We explore how voice and language come together, and how songs can carry history, identity, and spirit. Every lesson is a chance to honor where the music comes from while shaping it with your own voice. I create a space where tradition and personal expression meet.
