About Abigail
I am a singing tutor with over three years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My passion lies in helping singers discover their authentic voice while preparing them for both live performance and studio recording. I believe that every student, whether a hobbyist or an aspiring artist, deserves tools that bring out the best in their sound. I use modern technology such as DAWs, vocal processors, and studio microphones to create a hands-on learning experience. These tools give students practical knowledge of how their voice works in a professional recording setting. Alongside vocal training, I also guide learners in songwriting, shaping ideas into meaningful lyrics and expressive melodies. My teaching covers genres including R\&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian music. Each style offers unique ways to explore tone, phrasing, and emotional delivery. I place strong focus on lyric interpretation, tone shaping, and harmony work, helping singers create performances that feel powerful and personal. Students can expect interactive lessons filled with vocal drills, studio practice, and feedback tailored to their goals. My goal is not just to train technique but also to nurture confidence and creativity. My singing methodology focuses on vocal wellness, mindfulness, and long-term voice care, ensuring that singers build healthy habits for a lasting and joyful journey. For the soloist in training, lessons begin with gentle warm-ups, proper breathwork, and mindful posture, helping them strengthen their voice without strain. They learn to place their sound in a natural, healthy way, building both range and confidence.
For the church ensemble player, the focus is on blending, stamina, and balance. Warm-ups and hydration habits prepare their voice for extended singing, while mindful listening helps them blend smoothly with others. Healthy vocal placement is always emphasized so they can sing with clarity and endurance week after week.
Both personas are encouraged to use vocal tracking apps to monitor progress, mindfulness timers for calm focus, and guided breathwork tools to connect body and voice. These practices support not only stronger singing but also mental calm and resilience. By balancing vocal goals with joy and self-care, each learner discovers how singing can be both expressive and deeply restorative. My approach is gentle, positive, and designed to help voices grow with care, confidence, and lasting happiness.
