About SketchUp Assistant
My name is Paulina. I am an architect (I studied architecture in Vilnius), I studied in Germany with an ERASMUS program and I also had an architecture internship in an architect office in Madrid. There I met my partner and three years ago I decided to come to Spain.
In general, I decided to leave architecture because I like more 2D graphics, more creativity and software. I am very in love with software and I like to experiment.
After working as an architect, I decided to work as a software specialist and found a job at UAB GeoNovus, a distributor of Trimble SketchUp in the Baltic countries. I have been working for almost five years and while I have done a lot of things:
- I have over 60 hours of experience training beginner and advanced user (interior/landscape/product) designers and architects.
- I have created many training videos for Youtube and Instagram channels;
- communicated with Trimble manufacturers in the United States;
- gave technical assistance to customers and supported resellers in the three Baltic countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania;
- I have created and organized a CATCH UP SKETCHUP event in the Baltic countries;
- made 3D models of Point Cloud.
I think that experience has helped me learn a lot about software, a software business, and how to teach software.

Hi, thanks for visiting my profile. I'm Paulina, an architect and creative who has a SketchUp assistant project. The idea of this project is to help customers manage their projects in 3D space and to help learn Trimble SketchUp for beginners and advanced users. If you are one - feel free to contact me.
Some information about the experience. I have over 60 hours of experience training beginner and advanced user (interior/landscape/product) designers and architects. I have created many training videos for Youtube channels in my previous job. I communicated with Trimble manufacturers, provided technical support to customers, and supported resellers in the three Baltic countries: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. I've been living in Spain for three years now, so I decided to look for local students too :) My Spanish level is B1/B2, and I'm learning quickly. I also do English classes.
About the classes. I usually do online training through ZOOM to Lithuanian clients because I am Lithuanian and I have students there. We connect and I explain the software on my screen, then ask the student to share their screen and we do homework together. I think the best way to learn is to practice, so I always try to have the student do the homework by himself while I can be with him and help him figure out why something isn't working.
Trimble SketchUp (no longer Google SketchUp, from 2011) is a tool that seems easy and it is. But what is very important is to know very well all the capabilities of the program and to integrate a work order very well. SketchUp is not a BIM program where we have to adapt to the workflow, it is a tool that we can create the workflow for our needs. For this reason, before starting classes with clients, I always try to clarify what the objective of using SketchUp is and what final results the student is going to want to achieve. For example, if it is to render with V-Ray, we will have to prepare the 3D model to render with this specific one, if the 3D model is to present to the client - prepare it a little differently. Or maybe the goal is to do it all: 3D rendering, presentation, project video and etc.
I also know how to handle V-Ray, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Lightroom programs. All these tools can help to integrate with each other to have a great visual result. We could integrate other tools during class.
About the license. If the student does not have a legal license, for the training, we give a seat for the formation of my account. During classes, the student can use it.

Totalmente recomendableQuería aprender a utilizar SketchUp para poder ofrecer un servicio adicional a mis clientes actuales interesados en el modelado 3D. Decidí probar suerte en Superprof, encontré el perfil de Paulina y pensé que lo intentaría.
