About Tom

I am an experienced French tutor with 12 years of teaching experience, working with high school and college students. During my career, I have taught 150–200 students and helped them improve their understanding and use of the French language. Teaching allows me to guide students towards academic success.

My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, structure, and regular practice. I believe language learning should be organised and stress-free. I explain grammar rules clearly and help students practise them through writing and speaking exercises.

I design lesson plans according to the student’s level and goals. I support students with coursework, exam preparation, and overall language development. I also monitor progress and provide clear feedback to encourage improvement.

One of my major achievements is helping students develop confidence in speaking and writing French. Many students have shown steady improvement and better academic results. My goal is to provide a supportive learning environment where students feel confident and motivated.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for French focuses on real-life communication and practical understanding. I use real-life examples and simple case studies such as daily conversations, travel experiences, academic discussions, and workplace communication to help students understand how French is used naturally.

I keep my teaching flexible and adjust lesson plans according to each student’s learning pace, level, and goals. Collaboration is encouraged through interactive conversations, role-plays, and guided speaking practice that help students improve fluency and confidence.

Compassion is an important part of my teaching style, and I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.

Along with French, I also teach grammar, vocabulary building, pronunciation practice, reading comprehension, writing skills, conversational French, cultural awareness, and exam preparation.
