About Andrew
I am a passionate flute tutor with 12 years of experience teaching students from school to college level, and I believe that music is a powerful way to shape confidence and creativity. My journey with the flute started with a deep interest that slowly turned into a strong passion for teaching and guiding others.
Over the years, I have worked with many students, helping them move from basic learning to confident performances. One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students overcome their fear and perform on stage with confidence and joy.
My teaching style is simple, patient, and structured, focusing on essential skills such as breathing control, finger coordination, tone clarity, and rhythm. I also make sure that lessons are engaging and enjoyable so that students remain motivated and consistent.
I strongly believe that every student has unique potential, and my goal is to guide them with dedication and care, helping them build both musical skills and a lifelong love for music.

My teaching approach for flute combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students learn with confidence and clarity. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated.
I begin by understanding the student’s learning style and pace so I can adapt my teaching accordingly. I motivate students by appreciating their efforts and encouraging consistent practice. Communication helps me explain techniques like breath control, fingering, posture, and tone quality in a simple and easy way.
With integrity, I guide students honestly and focus on building strong basics. I correct mistakes patiently and help students improve step by step. Creativity allows me to design engaging lessons with songs, exercises, and different practice methods.
Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and ear training to support complete musical development.
