About Wes
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with over 7 years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, including those with learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar), I bring a strong foundation in both performance and music education. My background also includes training in music therapy and special education, which guides my adaptive and student-centred approach. I use strengths-based teaching methods that focus on each student’s unique abilities, interests, and learning style. Whether a student learns best through movement, visuals, or repetition, I tailor my lessons to suit them. Structure, patience, and creativity are at the core of every session. Many of my students come in feeling unsure, and leave with a renewed sense of confidence and joy. I work with complete beginners as well as experienced players seeking new direction. Together, we build musical skills in rhythm, technique, and expression—always at a pace that feels supportive and achievable. Music is a powerful tool for self-expression and growth.
