About Tatum
I am a dedicated Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience helping students explore the wonders of the universe. I hold a BSc in Physics with Materials Science, which has given me a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied physics. My main interest lies in astrophysics and cosmology. I enjoy guiding students through some of the most fascinating ideas in science.
I specialise in topics such as stellar evolution, black holes, general relativity, and the Big Bang theory. These concepts can seem complex at first. I break them down into clear and understandable ideas. My goal is to make advanced physics both accessible and exciting.
I have worked with many students who are passionate about space and astronomy. This includes members of astronomy clubs and those who aspire to become astrophysicists. I encourage curiosity and deep thinking. Questions are always welcome.
My lessons connect theory with the bigger picture of how the universe works. I aim to build both knowledge and imagination. Learning physics should feel inspiring, not overwhelming.
Together, we can explore the vast universe and uncover the fundamental laws that shape it. I look forward to helping you grow your understanding and passion for physics.

My teaching approach in Physics is relaxed, practical, and focused on real-world understanding. I believe students learn best when they see how physics applies to everyday engineering problems. I keep lessons simple and engaging. At the same time, I ensure concepts are clear and useful.
I cover core topics such as mechanics, electricity, and thermodynamics, along with areas like fluid dynamics and materials science. I also focus on statics and dynamics in structures. These are important for understanding how real systems behave.
I use real-world engineering examples in my teaching. This helps students connect theory to practical design and problem-solving. Learning becomes more meaningful this way.
I also introduce computational tools where needed. This helps students explore physics through simulations and calculations. It builds both understanding and technical skills.
I adapt my teaching based on each student’s goals and level. I support learners who want to apply physics in engineering and design. My aim is to help students think clearly and solve problems with confidence.
Together, we will make physics relevant to your future and use it as a tool for building strong and practical solutions.
