About Sarah Clay
I am 25 and have been playing piano since I was about 11. I have taken numerous lessons but am self-taught for the most part. I graduated from James Madison University in 2023 with a degree in English and Theater. When I'm not playing piano, I enjoy reading, snowboarding, and surfing.

I teach with a foundation in theory, incorporating not only playing time but also building the knowledge of a musical foundation and understanding. I would be available for house calls, each lesson 1 hr or online lessons, where I would put a greater focus on building theory knowledge. A mix of both is perfectly fine as well. I think it's very important that the client picks out the type of music they wish to learn, as it only inspires them to play more! I have experience working with children in educational environments, but I will teach beginners of all ages!
