About Konnie
I have been teaching for the past 9 years and developed a passion for teaching deaf children. This prompted me to specialise in Deaf education, and I am currently undertaking an MSc in this area. I am deaf myself and am fluent in both spoken English and BSL.

I believe that the best way to learn is through doing and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. As such I encourage an environment where everyone feels safe to make mistakes and learn at their own pace. I am very positive and patient and can adapt my teaching speed to a learner’s progress.

Perfect! Konnie was very welcoming and made my partner and I feel at ease from the very first class. We were really impressed by her regional knowledge and just how easy and fun she made the whole thing. Unfortunately, our classes had to be cut short, but thanks to Konnie we're definitely keen to continue learning BSL!

Konnie's signing is second to none and her tutoring skills are excellent. Very patient, happy to explain and repeat as needed.
Konnie is an experienced teacher with a calm and patient manner. She is fluent in bsl and is skilled in passing on her knowledge. Her lessons are interactive and engaging and she adapts them effectively for the level required. Highly recommended
