About Somi
For 9 years, I have dedicated my career to teaching trumpet and inspiring school and college students to enjoy music. I believe that learning should be both educational and enjoyable, allowing students to develop confidence while mastering new skills.
My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals through breathing exercises, posture improvement, embouchure development, tone quality, rhythm practice, articulation, scales, music reading, ear training, and music theory. As students improve, I introduce more advanced techniques and performance preparation.
One of the greatest highlights of my career has been helping students achieve goals they once thought were difficult. Whether preparing for performances, examinations, or personal growth, I enjoy seeing students become more confident with every lesson.
I create a welcoming classroom where students feel respected, supported, and motivated to do their best. I encourage regular practice, curiosity, and a positive attitude because these qualities lead to long-term success.
Teaching is my passion because it allows me to make a positive difference in students' lives. I strive to help every learner build musical skills, confidence, discipline, and a lasting love for the trumpet.

My teaching approach combines strong technical instruction with creativity and encouragement to help every student become a confident trumpet player. Lessons cover all essential aspects of trumpet performance including breathing techniques, embouchure development, articulation, rhythm, scales, tone production, note reading, sight reading, flexibility, endurance, range development, dynamics, phrasing, ear training, music theory, orchestral repertoire, jazz improvisation, solo performance, ensemble playing, and audition preparation.
I provide personalized lesson plans, regular progress evaluations, and practical performance advice that enable students to achieve lasting success while enjoying every stage of their musical development.
