About Leigh

With over 12 years of experience as a Singing tutor, I have dedicated my career to helping students discover and strengthen their voices. I teach School students, College students, and Working Professionals, providing customized instruction that supports both personal and academic goals.

My teaching style is supportive, interactive, and student-focused. I begin by assessing each student's current abilities and understanding their objectives. Based on this, I create personalized learning plans that allow students to progress at a comfortable pace while continuously challenging themselves to improve.

My lessons include vocal warm-ups, breathing techniques, pitch training, voice modulation, rhythm development, articulation, and performance practice. I use practical exercises and real songs to help students apply what they learn. I also incorporate technology, audio recordings, and performance reviews to provide clear feedback and measurable progress.

Apart from Singing, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, and Vocal Performance Techniques. These additional subjects help students understand the foundations of music while improving their overall singing skills. I encourage students to develop discipline, consistency, and creativity through regular practice.

One of my unique strengths is helping students build confidence. Many learners feel nervous about singing in front of others, and I work patiently to help them overcome these fears. My lessons are designed to create a comfortable environment where students can grow without pressure. I am committed to helping every student reach their full potential and enjoy every step of their musical journey.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for Singing is designed to help students build confidence, improve vocal skills, and develop a lifelong love for music. I combine flexibility, creativity, understanding, and time management to create effective and enjoyable lessons.

I understand that every voice is unique. Therefore, I assess each student's abilities and goals before creating a customized learning plan. Whether the student is a beginner or an advanced singer, I adjust my methods to ensure steady improvement.

Creativity is used throughout my lessons. I introduce fun vocal exercises, song interpretation activities, improvisation tasks, and performance techniques that encourage students to explore their voices. These activities help make learning engaging while strengthening important singing skills.

My lessons focus on vocal technique, breathing control, pitch accuracy, rhythm, articulation, vocal range development, and emotional expression. Students learn how to apply these skills directly to songs and performances.

Understanding and encouragement are essential parts of my teaching philosophy. I create a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. Positive feedback and clear guidance help students gain confidence and overcome performance anxiety.

Time management helps maximize learning during every session. Lessons are carefully organized to include warm-ups, technique training, practical singing exercises, and progress reviews. This structure ensures consistent improvement.

In addition to Singing, I can teach Music Theory, Sight Singing, Ear Training, Performance Preparation, and Vocal Wellness. My aim is to help students become confident performers who can use their voices effectively and expressively.
