About Khadija

Hi everyone, I’m Khadija and it’s so nice to meet you! Currently, I have my Associate of the Liberal Arts and pursuing my BA in Creative Writing and English at SNHU. I was once in your shoes and still am. I understand that there could be some embarrassments in needing help with your studies but there’s always fun in the end. English can seem boring but there is a whole other world that many don’t know. I like to make my lessons about you and the way you learn. Some people are audio learners while some are visual learners instead, or even a little mix of both. I want to make sure that you are first and foremost comfortable when we learn together. If need be I like to include your interests in our lessons as well. I specialize in grammar, writing, and reading. I pride myself on creating a fun and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing. I believe in a student-centered approach, tailoring my lessons to each individual's needs and learning style. I know that we love to learn in the comfort of our homes but I also believe in learning by being surrounded by the subject as well.

About the lesson

I like to make my lessons will cater to your needs and learning style. It’s better to feel comfortable while learning than stressed! What sets me apart? As a college student (I have my Associate of Liberal Arts and currently pursuing my BA in Creative English and Writing), I still understand the feeling of not being able to understand what I was learning in class. I was very shy and afraid to ask for help but later I got a tutor and felt more confident in class than before. I like to make sure that my learning style will fit the needs of your student but also their personality as well. Each student is different so their needs should be met accordingly. I am a Type A person, I can do written or digital lesson plans, whichever is more comfortable for the student and parents. I also make sure to ask parents if there is something that they feel should be a focus of the lesson as well. I will sometimes assign homework assignments to make sure that you understand what we go over. Nothing too hard but just to make sure that you understand what we may go over. Examples: Short Essays Short Story Prompts Reading Book Chapters Multiple Choice Questions Journal Entries Typical Lesson Plan: -What you are learning in class. -What you are confident in? -What you are struggling in? -Homework and Test Help -Study Materials (notecards, Quizlet, note-taking, etc.) -Homework Organization -Try to connect interests to lessons
