About Samir
Samir Hassan Soccer Coach Resume
Grew up, like every Brazilian, playing street and beach soccer.
Played Soccer and Futsal for the School of Cadets of the Air Force.
Played Soccer and Futsal for the Federal University of Rio De Janeiro Left Wing and Goalie for the School of Engineering.
1997 to 2007 - Coached Youth Soccer Premier Level. Coached Santos FC from gold level all the way to Premier 1.
2004 to 2007 – had, as a volunteer, my own school of soccer and futsal for children from underserved 5 years and up.
2003, 2005 - Winning Coach of Brazil. 2004 Vice Champion. All Nations Cup Soccer Tournament. Stopped coaching to concentrate on directing the tournament.
2004 to 2015 - Director of All Nations Cup, an annual 17-day tournament where local adult teams would represent their countries in a World Cup format tournament. 48 countries
Ran a futsal program (the Brazilian “secret” to develop great players) with the Muckleshoot Tribe for young children.
2010 – Offered the position of National Youth Head Coach for the Sultanate of Oman, to implement my Brazilian player development program. Didn’t have my Green Card yet and could not go. Now I’m an American citizen.
2025 and present - I’m the Varsity Soccer & Futsal coach at the Dominican Academy in Manhattan.
I read, write and speak English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently.
