I am of French nationality and have lived in England for 2 years. This experience made me realize that the only way to speak another language is to be in total immersion by chatting daily with people from the country. French is a beautiful but complex language, and that's why I would like to help you understand it as I would have liked to learn it.
I offer a different way of learning by integrating passions and the hobbies of my students. I firmly believe that we remember languages through the things we love. Each student is different and I would meet the needs of each in an individualized way.
For the first lesson, I start with a basic conversation to assess my student's level of French. And depending on his level, I can switch back to English to deepen the explanation.
For grammar, I like to use easy French songs that they may already know. Listening to the song afterwards is also a great way to practice pronunciation as well as stress reduction. I can also deliver the lesson on a handout, or ask the student to do so.
At the end of the lesson, I go back to everything we have discussed and encourage the student to work on it and to come back next time with some exercises that I would have given.
