About Aaron
I am an experienced public school educator. I have taught grades K - 12 in various subjects and settings. I have also spent time as a mentor to college students looking to be teachers. Before my life in education, I worked on local, state, and federal political campaigns, as well as have been elected to various civic positions. I love making connections to how society interacts with one another and why people do what they do in different parts of the world.

Learning is more than memorization it is experiencing and understanding WHY it matters. Students will build the skills needed to make connections with the world around them as well as extend learning on their own. Knowing the facts of an event is important but not as important as it is to know why that event matters in a larger perspective.
