About Dharnell
Hello students! My name is Dharnell. I know how it feels to fail at education. I've failed many times during my academic life, and even at university I still had much to improve on. But it's all about what you do after hitting rock bottom that matters the most! I pushed myself during GCSEs, got interested in everything I was learning, allowing me to get grades I was so proud of! And done the same thing for my A-Levels. With the right mentality, hard work and dedication I went from being almost bottom set in education to getting Triple A's (including an A*) in my A-Levels. The reason I'm here (other than the fact I'm broke lol) is to use the knowledge I have to support you guys! I want to make use out of the subjects I'm not going to be using in my personal career, plus I love helping people. I have been tutoring for over 4 years now and have helped 250+ students achieve the grade of their dreams! Developing confidence, not just their abilities. Now I want to help you! No matter who you are, I will guide you to achieve your highest potential, not only making lessons challenging but fun too! As your personal tutor, I promise you, I will do everything in my power to get you the grades you deserve. I will not let you down. I plan my lessons, tailor made personally to each and every student, I'm here to help you!

The first lesson is an introduction, no pressure; us just getting to know each other so you feel more comfortable. You can tell me as much or as little about yourself! I will also ask more about what you want out of our tutoring lessons. I will then take this information and use it to create personalised lessons just for you! My tutoring style is centred around these 3 points: Piece-by-Piece: Anything you struggle to understand, we take it and break it down to its roots, explaining it in its most simple form, the more you understand, the more we build on it until you understand everything that you were once confused about. Confidence boosting: Something often forgotten in the classroom, believing in your capabilities is crucial to academic success. Test scores and figures can dampen one's perspective, that's why I'll be there to remind you, you got this! Testing: Trust me, this is a guaranteed way to succeed in the academic environment. If you can ace a practice test, that will securely prepare you for the real exam! I set tasks for you to do, some will be more individual and some more conversational, however you can be sure it will be nothing like a classroom environment, so don't feel any pressure to get things right! I'm here to help you progress. Feel free to request anything in particular you would like to learn/revise. I show students the pros of whatever subject they study; all subjects are fun, you just got to find what's fun about them!
