My teaching method begins with school syllabus. Once the chapter Or a portion of chapter completes, I start giving them various of problems to solve(which is related to that topic). I help them understand, why the particular thing is happening that way.
I believe not everything needs to be remembered. All you need is to understand how the things are working and you will easily solve maths or any other subjects.
