About Kathryn
Engineering foundations often trip up capable students, so I use my 13 years of experience to bridge the gap between abstract math and physical intuition. I hold a BSc Architecture degree from MIT. My focus is on making complex 3D modeling workflows feel logical.
I teach working engineers, product design students, career switchers, and university or mechanical engineering students. I prioritize clear communication.
My background ensures you understand assembly design, engineering drawings, mate constraints, sheet metal design, extrude and revolve features, and design for manufacturing. Simple concepts matter. Seeing students grasp the structural logic is rewarding. I enjoy watching the click of comprehension during a difficult session.

Focusing on the mechanics of your project, I treat every session as a direct collaboration to fix your design errors. I use my MIT architecture training to explain how geometry dictates function. You will engage with CSWA-style practice exercises during our time together.
We prioritize the technical application of extrude and revolve features and complex mate constraints. I expect you to bring your current design challenges to the table.
Accuracy is vital. I demonstrate efficient 3D modelling workflows that save time in production. You learn the standard for professional engineering drawings.
We refine your sheet metal design until it reflects industry best practices. Real design work is satisfying.
